Mango & rhubarb tarts

It's been a long time since my last foodie post, so I figured it's high time I shared another recipe. Yet again, it is a very simple treat, fruity and delicious, perfect for summer. All you need is follow the instructions here (I also added a personal touch by using both rhubarb and mango) and add a scoop of ice cream. I chose pistachio :) Enjoy!

I felt that this quote goes perfectly with the concept of this post. I underlined it when I first read the book, as I thought it was a such a delicate and gracefully surreal image. As I was editing the photos, I suddenly remembered this quote and I couldn't believe how well it fit.

As promised, the fairies are back with more magic and enchanting stories. This time we entered one of their secret lairs and studied some morning rituals :)

Chlorine kissed summer skin

I've always loved the calm and serenity brought by the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. That's one of the primary reasons behind my constant return there. I am among those people that don't wish for a sun- kissed skin and always wear 50 SPF sunscreen on the beach.
On our short holiday, we were lucky enough to arrive at the seaside before the start of the crazy summer season, and let me tell you it was heavenly. We even found this kind of wild and deserted part that we never knew about, that made all this photoshoot happen.
While editing these photos I was mostly inspired by the music video "Sleepwalking" from Bring Me The Horizon. I did not intend it to be this way, but I stumbled upon the video and  realized where the inspiration came from. It's that kind of a process that happens involuntarily, and a certain memory or image that made a real impact on you, becomes reflected in your later work. I guess it's because I've become a little obsessed with the new album and the videos are simply brilliant.They have definitely earned a spot on my "must see live" band list. Fingers crossed for that!

Echoes of the past

Have you ever dreamed of closing your eyes and being able to travel back in time, in an era when everything and anything was elegant and spectacular? Well we have, quite recently as a matter of fact, last week to be more precise. It happened to us while we were on a short holiday "au bord de la mer". We were enjoying a walk and we ended up in front of the famous Casino in Constanța. We've been here before, almost 3 years ago when we started this blog, and unfortunately nothing has changed. Not for the better, at least.
It is really sad to see a majestic piece of history being left to decay and disappear. So we tried to imagine what it was like in its glorious years, a place of decadence and glamour, where some dreams were made and some shattered. We even pictured it coming back to life like in a scene from "The Phantom of the Opera".
