We think we mentioned before just how much we loved The Grand Budapest Hotel. If you haven't watched it yet you should know it's a must see, as it's such a visually stunning masterpiece. Obviously, we became so obsessed with this movie that we needed to created something inspired by it. What a better way to start than the glorious dessert that is the Courtesan au chocolat. Ever since we saw those pretty pink boxes wrapped with sky blue ribbons, we knew we had to recreate them. We took a little liberty with the actual cake (we haven't stuck to the recipe exactly), but we think it turned out quite similar to the Courtesan au chocolat as presented in the movie. Oh, and stay tuned, because we have more surprises coming up this week ;)

I will not believe it you if you tell me that you've never felt an overwhelming desire to leave everything behind and start again elsewhere or maybe take a very long break from your normal life and embark on an adventure. I know it's in our nature to search for stability, but have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a caravan and travel from place to place? To always see new cities and roads, meet new people and never settle down for more than a few months in one spot? Maybe I'm too much of a dreamer and a romantic, but I would absolutely love to live like this for a while (definitely not forever). I always imagine how it would be, for example, to travel North America this way, from coast to coast and how I'd keep a diary so as never to forget any detail of the journey. Oh, daydreams... Anyway, where would you like to travel if you had a mobile home?

How's life treating you lately? Recently I have been trying to figure out a lot about my future, but as it turns out things don't always go the way you planned them. So I'm embracing a new mantra these days, as I try to enjoy the present more and worry less about what will come. Therefore, I am currently focusing on eating healthier, staying hydrated and exercising and believe it or not it's been two weeks that I've managed to wake up at 7 a.m. and go to the gym (aqua gym, that is). People close to me will say that it is just a phase and I'll get bored pretty soon, but right now I am feeling pretty confident that I will stick to my new routine.

We were beyond excited when we got the amazing news that starting this April, Zara has launched its online shopping platform in Romania. We've always found online shopping to be such a blessing, because for us going to the mall is less of a therapy and more of an annoyance. We never find the right size and losing our patience only comes natural. However, in this case we admit to doing a little research beforehand (especially in the shoe department - we do find it a bit risky to buy shoes without trying them on). It was a good call, because everything fits perfectly! Aaand it may come as a shock but in the end we chose some basic pieces. Also, we seem to have colour-coordinated our outfits :)) .

Lately I've found myself to be more and more busy and it's been difficult to deal with all the things I have to do, while also finding a bit of time for the blog and for myself. I do like the sensation of constantly having some activity on my schedule, but it can get a bit tough to keep everything in balance. So I got myself a tiny little helper, a cute bat charm that is suppose to bring me balance and inner strength, when I need them most. I must confess, I've never been an overly superstitious person, but I found the idea behind Kogayon very appealing, for some reason. Power-jewelry...why not? Moreover, as you all know very well by now, I always tend to look at past decades to get inspiration for my outfits. Now, the 70's are not usually at the top of my list, but I recently found this amazing velvet off-shoulder crop top that I just couldn't say no to. It's gorgeous and I think it's also quite versatile, despite it being such a unique piece. I'm sure I'll be wearing it a lot.

This is the story of a girl who lived in a town so grey and so monotonous, full of dull people with no joy about tomorrow. But she was so different from them all, with her charming smile and warm glow. She stood out like a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day, and yet she couldn't figure out why she wasn't able to fit in. One day, our girl decided that she was going to embark on a journey that would, in the end, led her to find out the truth about herself and her true origins. So here it is: the story of the girl with fairy blood running through her veins.
