As you guys have probably noticed, we're really open to all sorts of fashion-related projects, especially those that stimulate our creativity. As a result, we were more than happy to accept the invitation from the DivaHair team to enter a competition for which we had to create an outfit inspired by our favourite style icon. The hardest part was choosing just one for each :P.
The contest is sponsored by DailyBrands, a discount online store that offers clothes and accessories from well-known brands, such as CK, Diesel, Guess, Moschino, Miss Sixty and many others. The site is a great choice for those of you who are looking for statement items at great prices so you should definitely visit it.

Anyhoo, we were faced with the difficult task of choosing between impersonating some well-established icons or some of the more contemporary darlings of the fashion world. So in the end it was bye-bye Audrey Hepburn and Jane Birkin (so overdone!) and hello Olivia Palermo and Taylor Tomasi-Hill :D. You've probably heard about them/ read about them/ seen numerous streetstyle pictures of them, but we still feel the need to write a few things about these contemporary style-icons.
The first thing that caught my eye about Taylor was her gorgeous hair (yes, I admit, she may have inspired me hairstyle-wise), but afterwards I found myself completely fascinated with her layering skills and her choice of out-of-the-ordinary items (asymmetrical tops, structured skirts, neutrals combined with just a touch of stronger color and the most unique shoes ever). I don't know how she does it, but she is always looking fashion-forward, without going over the top.
Well, I could go on and on about her - have you seen her wedding pics?, my God she looked gorgeous in that dress- but I will stop now and let you enjoy my pale trial at creating an outfit inspired by her.
I'm wearing a vintage shirt, Hugo by Hugo boss skirt, Vivienne Westwood Red Label vest, Eve's purse, my brother's Emporio Armani watch, Forever21 sunglasses
When I say Olivia Palermo, the first thing that comes to my mind is statement jewelry, perfect hairdos and makeup, high heels and layering. First time i saw her was in the MTV's reality tv show The City, where she was portrayed as a shallow upper-east-sider with a passion for fashion. As part of the show, Olivia worked at the PR department for Diane von Furstenberg and later the accessories department at Elle. I was really attracted by her "villain" role and style mostly because it reminded me of Blair Waldorf and because she is really really pretty.
All in all she is a great inspiration and I love everything about her; I love that she combines bags and shoes from top brands with clothes from mass-stores like Zara, Mango and H&M; I love that she always changes her hair style and manages to have a perfect natural look everytime.
I'm wearing an Atmosphere dress, Koton coat, vintage collar, Sandra's bag, Bakers boots
The voting will take place on Divahair's Facebook page very soon so stay tuned.
Toate fotografiile din concurs vor fi postate pe pagina Diva Hair de Facebook, unde timp de o saptamana se va vota cea mai buna tinuta. Va vom anunta la momentul respectiv. Intre timp ne vom relaxa un pic, cautand the perfect little place aici: saloane de infrumusetare.
