It's no secret that i LOVE cupcakes, and red velvet are my absolute favourite ones. Not that I've ever eaten red velvet cupcakes made by anyone else but me. They are so fun and easy to make. And they go so well with whipped cream and cherries, a perfect dessert for summer. That plus a cherry 7Up. Yum!

This Tuesday we attended another magical event. This time the occasion was the official launch of an application named Comunitatea Fashionistelor (Community of Fashionistas). It is a platform where you can upload photos of your outfits, tag the items you are wearing, get feedback and follow other fashionable girls' outfits. It's the only application of this kind in Romania, and it's intended to attract stylish girls, as well as people who want to get ideas for their own everyday outfits. A fab Saturday - Part II

As I promised, here's part II of the fabulous adventure on Saturday. I took part in the contest organised by Glamour Superslims, that I didn't know much about at first (many thanks to Oana for making us participate). So, as you can imagine, I was really surprised when I received a call letting me know that I was among the 3 finalists. The girls and I had 30 minutes to create an outfit (for no more than 500 RON), using clothes and accessories picked from the exhibitors at the fair. We also had to include the fuchsia scarf, as a symbol of the brand. Not the easiest task, but it was so much fun! Never before had I participated in a similar competition. Here are the final outfits:

The outfit I picked (of course Eve was there all the time to back me up) was on the romantic side, featuring a lace top and a flowy midi skirt (gorgeous fabrics). I also added some unexpected details - the book clutch (yes, it IS made from a real book, and handpainted) and la pièce de résistance: the statement necklace plus the scarf, tied in a bow. The outfits created by the girls were fab (the first one was created by Silvia from Bucharest Style), I believe the jury had a tough time deliberating.

And it appears that the jury liked my outfit, so I won :D. The prize was, well, the outfit. I couldn't have been happier. My little helper got her share of the prize, of course :P. You'll see us wearing the pieces soon, because they fit really well in our wardrobes.

A fab Saturday - Part I

Today was a great day! Yes it was! A great day for shopping, for meeting friends.. and for winning contests :P. At the end of a VERY stressful week (deadlines, dissertation paper etc.) we can finally say that all's well that ends well. So we indulged in a little shopping spree, at Absolutely Fabulous Fashion & Vintage Fair. 

Astăzi a fost o zi minunată! Perfectă pentru cumpărături, pentru întâlniri cu prieteni..și pentru câștigat concursuri, se pare :P. Si a avut loc la sfârșitul unei săptămâni ultra-încărcate, care a culminat  cu susținerea lucrării de disertație. Dar totul e bine când se termină cu bine! Am terminat programele de master și ne-am permis să ne răsfățăm cu puțin shopping, la Absolutely Fabulous Fashion & Vintage Fair.

It's A Dressing Room Affair

    
   Last week we were invited by the lovely Oana to visit Dressing Room (an amazing showroom with clothes  from brands like Valentino, Prada, Miu Miu, Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Missoni, Cavalli, DSquared) and play dressup together with other fellow fashion bloggers.

We had our make-up done professionally and we were able to browse through and try on the prettiest clothes. Plus, we were shot by a pro photographer. It was fantastic and we loved every moment of it!

Let the bells ring...

Last weekend I attended one of my best friends' wedding, as maid of honor. And of course I have to share a part of  this experience with you. The best way to do this is by posting a few detail shots. She's been the most beautiful bride I have ever seen (yes, more beautiful than Kate :D) , and her dress was beyond gorgeous, with amazing details and a lovely beaded train. I enjoyed both the ceremony and the party and I wish the newly-weds all the happiness in the world.
