My summer holiday essentials

Monday, July 9, 2012

Here is a list of my 2012 summer holiday essentials. As you can see, I have a slight obsession with 50's fashion and I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon.

1. Headscarves, in every shape, form or colour. I must learn how to tie them and more importantly, how to obtain those impeccable retro curls to go with them.
2. Make-up. White eyeliner and bold red or coral lips. Be summery fresh while still making a statement.
3. Retro swimwear. I'm still looking for the perfect retro swimsuit/bikini. When I find it I'll stack some bangles, paint my nails orange and I'll be off to the seaside.
4. Bustiers. Bought one already, still longing for more. I've seen some pretty amazing ones on Newlook and Topshop.
5. Books. I've already read the first book of Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games Trilogy (I finished it in less than two days and I'm still obsessing over it). I'm currently reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman and I hope Stardust will follow soon.

  7. Headscarves - definitely, they are like the best thing ever, the `50 & the `60 rock ♥

Books - Always & Forever ♥ I was just in between reads, (searching for something fresh), although I had the Hunger Games Trilogy on my wishlist for a while now. If you read it in two days, it shall be my next purchase :)

    Always an inspiration, S.
