H&M Fall Collection 2012 Preview

Last week we received an invitation to the H&M Fall 2012 Collection exclusive preview and we were absolutely delighted. Unfortunately, Eve wasn't able to attend the event but happily I was there to photograph everything so I could share it with you. It was my first time at the showroom and I was truly impressed. It's no secret that I'm a big fan of H&M products and I believe the collections are improving with each passing season. I wish I could only choose a few favourite items but the truth is that I loved almost everything: the shoes and the accessories, the glitz and the glam, the beautiful silhouettes and the thoughtful details. I had already seen the official lookbook photos on different blogs, but seeing the clothes up close was a completely different  experience. Fall and winter 2012 look amazing from H&M's point of view.

I will be chasing the starlight

The last couple of weeks have been hectic, including strange weather and a strange mood, therefore all I can think about is a prolonged holiday in a far far away place. What am I saying, even short weekend getaways sound like a lot of fun.

So, a quick update with my life lately: I went to a wedding last week, I've seen Tim Burton's Dark Shadows (brilliant!) and I enjoyed the Avanpremiere Gala on Tuesday from a second-row seat (an entire post dedicated to this coming soon). I wore this incredible dress courtesy of Sheinside not only to the fashion event, but also to the wedding I told you about. These days I would wear anything with a galaxy print on it... it seems that I'm going through a new phase.

Avanpremiere Gala - 10th Edition

Last Tuesday we had the privilege to attend the 10th edition of the Avanpremiere Gala held at the National Museum of Contemporary Art. This was our second time attending the gala and the event was a lot of fun, meeting most of our blogger friends and some new ones in person (the lovely Daria from Kittenhood). We had great seats (second row, baby) which gave us a perfect view to admire all the gorgeous creations. Of course, our favorite was by far the stunning "Golden Party" collection by Natalia Vasiliev which left us in awe. Here are some of the most representatives pieces and our picks from every collection.

Tea Party Paradise

These last days of spring have swept me of my feet, pulling me into a whirlwind of diverse experiences and emotions. This happens to me around this time of year, when the streets are shrouded in the scent of linden trees, jasmine and roses and old childhood memories resurface. With my head in the clouds, I dream of the past while walking on the quiet streets, swept by the balmy spring showers. These days, the afternoons call for open-air tea parties, with cookies, brownies, lemonade, polaroids, animated conversations and good laughs. I hope you enjoy the photos, as I tried my best to convey the atmosphere of me and the girls' (Laura, Denisa, Oliviana) most recent meeting and at the same time a farewell party for Mina.

The Navy Dress

This is an outfit I wore exactly one week ago, on a very hot day (unlike today), for the 6th edition of Unveiled and the ABSOLUT Designers Night Out cocktail party. I chose to wear an apparently simple navy dress. While it seems business in the front, it is totally party in the back, with the fuchsia buttons and the v-neck. I absolutely adore it and therefore I decided that this look should be my entry in a contest organised by DivaHair and sponsored by Made By Oz, YKY.m Bags and Zega.Ro.

Gala AVANPREMIERE - Un regal de modă românească pe ruta Londra-Bucureşti 

Gala AVANPREMIERE ajunge în acest sezon la ediţia a 10-a și explorează, împreună cu designerii invitaţi, tendinţele toamnă-iarnă 2012-2013. De această dată se pune accentul pe conexiunea între moda românească și cea britanică, prin legăturile designerilor invitați cu acest spațiu special de inspirație. Pe podiumul AVANPREMIERE din acest an îşi vor prezenta colecţiile designeri precum Iris Şerban, Carmen Secăreanu, Natalia Vasiliev, Anca & Silvia Negulescu şi Simona Semen. 

Reper al modei autohtone, evenimentul este conectat în acest an la spaţiul avangardist al modei britanice, prin prezenţa a doi tineri designeri talentaţi: Dinu Bodiciu, care înregistrează un succes remarcabil pe scena londoneză şi Ioana Ciolacu, recent acceptată la prestigiosul London Institute of Fashion. Alături de aceştia vor urca pe podium și creaţiile lui Lucian Pop – reprezentând moda masculină în această ediţie a Galei. Marni-fied

For this outfit I was inspired by the Marni SS 2010 fashion show. I recently came across a detail shot of one of the models on the runway and I remembered how much I liked the styling for that show, with the messy hair, oversized earrings and cute headscarves (perfect if you're having a bad hair day and I know I was having one). I really wanted to give this look a try so of course I had to wear my Marni at H&M earrings that I love so much and my new sunglasses, also from H&M. Oh and another important detail, the crazy spiked loafers, courtesy of Sheinside. I've been dying for a pair and now I finally have them. I hope you like this look, although it's a bit different from my usual outfit posts. I got Marni-fied!

I'll be there in a heartbeat

If you read Sandra's latest post you found out she had fun, without me of course, going out with the girls. So now it's my turn to share with you some pics we took last week. Ok, ok, I know the shoes look awesome, it was love at first scroll (saw them on the internet and I knew I had to have them). But, and there is a but, they are just painfully beautiful. Words cannot describe the agony, oh yes, it was agony, because I was stubborn enough to continue walking and keep smiling. Hopefully it felt this way because it was the first time I wore them. I'm gonna try again and share the experience once more :P .

Happiness Loves Company

Last week I got to spend another lovely afternoon with my amazing blogger friends, chatting, taking photographs and drinking lemonade (this time it was mojito-flavoured, yum). The old city center is extremely crowded in the evening, but it is quiet and calm in the afternoon, when you have an entire array of restaurants and cafes to choose from. And after the place is chosen, all you need is good conversation to create the perfect atmosphere. Speaking of which, I'm thrilled that I got to spend time with the super-adorable Mina, who is visiting Romania for a couple of weeks (as you probably know, if you follow her blog). I am so happy that I got to know her better, because last year we only met for a short time.

Take my hand, let's get famous

I don't know about you, but with all these summer temperatures lately, I entered holiday mood. All I can think about are the long summer days, ice-cream and concerts. Thank God for all the events happening this year in our country. I am thinking of attending 3 major concerts, already bought one ticket, and of course I need  appropriate outfits. What better choice to create a possible outfit than with the colorful new stuff from this year's  H&M Fashion Against Aids Collection. So apart from the crazy colors and the tribal print, this fantastic collection includes feathers and pretty little skulls. You know that I had the urge to buy everything when I got into the store, but S. was there to calm me down. Of course, I lost her after about 5 minutes, in front of the colorful tribal print hammock.

I come alive

Last Sunday I had the occasion to visit an absolutely whimsical place..it was so beautiful I just couldn't believe my eyes. Imagine an entire field sprinkled with delicate purple flowers, like a dream come true. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
