Agate jewels
Since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with rocks/stones. When I was 5-6 years old I used to collect all kinds of small, shiny, colorful pebbles from parks, rivers and generally all the places I travelled with my family. At that time I enjoyed listening to my grandparents talk about each and every fossil, mineral and everything else they had in their collection (my grandfather was a geologist).
Nowadays, my interest has shifted from picking up pebbles to buying crystal jewelry (whenever I can afford it, of course). Recently, I’ve discovered the beauty of agate, a variety of quartz. There must be something about the shape, the sinuosity of those lines or the blending of the colours that has me staring in awe (that results in freaking out jewelry sellers). Agate naturally comes in a variety of colours, and some of the stones are artificially dyed to enhance the depth of color.
At the moment I only have these two agate pendants, but I am definitely planning on adding more agate pieces to my future collection.
Online crystal shopping:
Aren’t these pieces just amazing? My favourite agate jewels are the Beijo Flor ones. They’re so cute I could just eat them. I don’t think that’d be a good idea, though.
