Avanpremiere Gala – 10th Edition
Last Tuesday we had the privilege to attend the 10th edition of the Avanpremiere Gala held at the National Museum of Contemporary Art. This was our second time attending the gala and the event was a lot of fun, meeting most of our blogger friends and some new ones in person (the lovely Daria from Kittenhood). We had great seats (second row, baby) which gave us a perfect view to admire all the gorgeous creations. Of course, our favorite was by far the stunning “Golden Party” collection by Natalia Vasiliev which left us in awe. Here are some of the most representatives pieces and our picks from every collection.
1. Ioana Ciolacu-“Aether”, an interesting approach to the classic black and white theme. Beautiful and wearable.
2.Anca și Silvia Negulescu – “Raw”. In this collection they used leather in some interesting combinations with gorgeous accents of gold. The blue gowns were simply breathtaking.
3. Simona Semen – “Heaven Inside” put an original twist to the whole spirituality theme. The BONE accessories were like a breath of fresh air to the all black ensembles.
4.Carmen Secareanu-“New Age College” – created in her well-known original style. Impressive volume play, delicate pleats and bisque appliques.
5.Natalia Vasiliev – “Golden Party” was incredible from the beginning to the end. The fabrics, the textures, the colors, the impeccable details and the breathtaking accessories by Raluca Buzura made us dream of a preciously elegant autumn night.
6.Iris Șerban – “Spiritele Naturii” came as a follow-up to her latest collection (white swan/black swan) but this time with a touch of bold colors (red and yellow) and very inspiring hairdos.
7.Dinu Bodiciu – “Transient Bodies” – His collection should have been the cherry on top, but honestly it was
quite disappointing, psychedelic antlers and all. I believe everyone was expecting much more of him.
