Boîtes des Merveilles

Boîtes des Merveilles

When you go to the Boîte des Merveilles Facebook page, you are greeted with the question : What book would you wear? Strangely (or not), we’ve always associated certain books with certain outfits or we’ve created looks based on the books we loved. We know it might sound superficial, but, as we’re both very visual people, it was only natural that we’d do that. But what if you could actually WEAR a book? That’s exactly the concept behind Boîte des Merveilles. These gorgeous leather clutches (they come in black, white or burgundy) with amazing gold lettering & plush velvet interior are every bookworm fashionista’s dream. The front part is interchangeable, so you can have different custom books for each of your literary moods.

The clutches look exactly like old leather-bound volumes and who doesn’t love those? We’re absolutely obsessed the images of magical libraries,  with the walls covered in bookshelves stocked vintage books. So of course we jumped for joy at the idea of having our own little wearable works of art. Our choices were: The Misfits by Arthur Miller (Sandra) and La Belle et la Bête (Eve), but it wasn’t easy ! All in all,  Boîte des Merveilles encompasses everything we love: books, fashion & magic. We’re thrilled that in these photos we managed to create the perfect atmosphere to express how we feel about them.

And now comes the question: what book would YOU like to wear? Let us know in the comments.
