Fashion Week SS16 Trends
From Milan to Paris, New York and London, Fashion Week SS16 saw a few trends that you’ll definitely want to have in your closet for the upcoming fashion season. There were lots of amazing trends for the spring/summer 2016 season, but here are a few that really stood out. Get familiar with them because as soon as spring comes, you’ll be seeing a lot of them on your favorite celebrities, bloggers and fashionistas.
1. Floral Pattern
Expect to see lots of unique and beautiful floral patterns this coming spring. And even though it seems like last year’s trend, expect to see flowers galore on everything from shoes to shorts, to tees and more. So if you have a few floral pieces from seasons before, you might want to hold onto them for a few more months and just update them with new accessories for a fresh floral look. Anna Sui, Antonio Marras and many more displayed beautiful floral patterns perfect for spring!
Heels are great, but SS16 fashion shows feature models walking the runway in a pair of clean sneakers. These comfy shoes were paired with everything from skirts to shorts and more. So if you see some hot white sneakers on sales, snag them before spring! They were seen everywhere, from DKNY to Rang & Bone, paired with lust worthy fashions.
As the top embellishment on the runways for several shoes, refined ruffles were given a makeover and were anything but ordinary. Ruffles made clothing items fiercely feminine especially in Gucci’s and Alexander McQueen’s collections for SS16.
4. American Pride
It seems that designers were digging the red, blue and white this season, especially for New York Fashion Week. Outfit in patriotic hues dominated the runways, making it easier than ever to find a stylish Fourth of July outfit! Marc Jacobs’s SS16 collection features a few patriotic-inspired outfits we can’t wait to copy this spring and summer 2016!
5. Black and White
Usually spring summer colors are bright and bold, but it seems that next season that will be changing with black and white as a popular color combo on runways. Solid block color or stripes and polka dots – black and white hues will definitely be the style for SS16. Givenchy showed off a flattering black and white collection featuring wide leg pants and lace insertions everywhere.
6. Wide Leg Pants
