Get ready for BBQ season – top S/S 2013 trends
Spring is finally here, so it’s time to throw off those winter coats and rejuvenate your wardrobe with some fresh, fashionable pieces. To help you look your best during the BBQ season, here’s our guide to the key trends of Spring/Summer 2013.
1.White
Be fresh and pretty this spring with this classic colour. You can either keep things simple with clear-cut lines, or elaborate with delicate lace and layers. If you’re a fan of monochrome patterns, you can combine it with the next trend.
2. Stripes
You can’t go wrong with the classic combination of black and white – but if you’re feeling bold, choose brighter colours and make a statement, as radiant neons are in this season. Both vertical and horizontal stripes are also in – if you’re feeling less confident after the calorific winter months, remember that vertical stripes tend to be more slimming.
3. Oriental
Channel the orient with beautiful patterns, kimono-style dresses, and silk prints. Add a pop of colour to your wardrobe with an obi-style belt – a fresh new twist on the waist-accentuating belt. This trend is perfect if you’re a fan of all things floral – there are some beautiful prints to be found this season.
4. Shine

5. Office

Finally, this season sees the return of the classic bomber jacket. With typically unpredictable weather, cover up this spring with an on-trend jacket. Team this key trend with another – the cropped cut – and you have a fresh new take on the bomber.
