Let the record play! – Budapest Day 1
Here are the first snapshots of our short and beautiful trip to Budapest. We arrived at about 9 o’clock in the morning, after an exhausting train ride that we would like to erase from our memories.
Fortunately the weather was amazing, and so was the place we stayed in, so we were able to forget our pains and aches and go for a short walk around the neighborhood before heading to the Óbudai island for our first day of the Sziget Festival.
The first band we’ve seen on stage was Good Charlotte. We’ve been fans for 7 years more or less, and I remember dreaming for a looong time that we’d get to see them live one day. Well, the dream finally came true and we weren’t disappointed. We would have loved to meet them in person and get an autograph, but that come about. The concert was astonishing nonetheless. We got to be real close to the stage and we screamed ourselves hoarse. Epic!
Outfit details – S: Zara pants from 3 seasons ago, Primark top, Bershka bag, Converse shoes
E: self-made cropped jeans, Pimkie shirt, vintage velvet and lace bodysuit (not very visible)
After the concert, although we were quite tired, we decided to visit the city at night, so we went to the well-known Matthias Church and Fishermen’s Bastion on the Buda bank of the Danube. The Neo-Gothic architecture in Budapest is mind-blowing, we were really taken aback by it.
This is all about our first day in this great city. These photos were taken with our friend Rodica’s camera (thanks a looot), but we also took pics with our own cameras the following days. More posts coming soon so don’t forget to check the blog :).
