MENDL’s courtesan au chocolat
We think we mentioned before just how much we loved The Grand Budapest Hotel. If you haven’t watched it yet you should know it’s a must see, as it’s such a visually stunning masterpiece. Obviously, we became so obsessed with this movie that we needed to created something inspired by it. What a better way to start than the glorious dessert that is the Courtesan au chocolat. Ever since we saw those pretty pink boxes wrapped with sky blue ribbons, we knew we had to recreate them. We took a little liberty with the actual cake (we haven’t stuck to the recipe exactly), but we think it turned out quite similar to the Courtesan au chocolat as presented in the movie. Oh, and stay tuned, because we have more surprises coming up this week 😉
