New Style for the New Year

As we wave goodbye to Christmas, and look forward to 2013, it may also be time to think about what clothes you wear. A New Year is the perfect time to reinvigorate your wardrobe with some new styles.
However, if like many you’re feeling the pinch on your wallet after your Christmas spending, by choosing the right items and shopping in the right place there are still plenty of ways you can freshen up your style without throwing out your old clothes or decimating your bank balance. Here are a few tips on what to look out for and factor in to your style for the coming months:

Cardigans

Cardigans have long been a staple of fashionistas, and have gained a widespread appeal. They’re also perfect for this time of year as they provide warmth without the bulk (perfect after the Christmas eating sessions when we’re all slightly more round anyway!).

As well as being functional, they are also very fashionable and in line with current trends, and there are a whole variety available, including those with hoods and collars. The latest fashion of men’s cardigans is in dark charcoal colours, and to use them to add layers with simple T-shirts.

Footwear
When it comes to buying new footwear, consider the season. It’s wet, it’s cold, and so any loafers you buy now are going to sit in a box for a good few months.

If you haven’t already, invest in some boots, or a sturdy, but fashionable pair of trainers. You can’t go wrong with Converse.

 Smarten Up
As Geek-chic continues to be popular, don’t be afraid to add a few shirts to your wardrobe. Smart or casual, there are plenty of styles available that you can be comfortable and fashionable in.

I love these outfits, they look so effortless and so well put together 🙂
And speaking about new styles I do plan on infusing my wardrobe with more color, I already switched to dresses and skirts in my recent purchases, and I dream about a summer filled with floral prints <3

On the other hand I’m still drawn towards black, leather and that glam rock kind of style, feminine with and edge (just like Saint Laurent’s pre-fall 2013 collection ^_^) so I guess I’m still stuck somewhere in the middle.

And about the hair, I don’t plan on messing with its length anytime soon, but I keep on thinking about trying an ombre-ish effecton him, something light but I don’t know …

Sorry about the looooong reply 😀 I should have sent a mail :))

    Hugs,
    xx
