The Season of the Rose
It's the time that you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important… People have forgotten this truth, but you mustn't forget it. You become responsible forever for...
What are your favourite places to just sit& read? I was wondering about this when I thought about what we could include in our Youtube videos (note to self: a vlog about Top 5 reading spots). My personal fav spot for reading is actually at home, in bed, with a cup of coffee nearby at all times. From time to time I do enjoy sitting outside & enjoying a good book (in the park, at the beach, at a picnic, etc), but it’s a bit more difficult to concentrate with so many distractions around. Oh, and let’s not forget the subway (& trains in general)! I’m almost always reading while going to work or traveling by train.
In regards to books, I’m currently reading by Jaquelline Susann and I’m really enjoying it so far. The novel was first published in 1966 and it sold millions of copies since (it’s one of the most bestselling books of all time). It focuses on the rise to fame and the subsequent decline of three women: Anne, Neely & Jennifer who first meet as young women trying to build their lives and careers in New York City . The “dolls” within the title is a euphemism for pills. From what I can tell so far, it’s very fast paced and catchy, a great summer read. I’ve also mentioned it in our most recent Youtube vid (embedded below)
“Yes, there’s one thing I do want. I want to be aware of the minutes and the seconds, and to make each one count.” ― Jacqueline Susann, Valley of the Dolls
I’m wearing a full H&M outfit + vintage belt.
P.S.: I’d love to hear what you’re currently reading and what are your fav reading spots ^_^
