The Season of the Rose
It's the time that you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important… People have forgotten this truth, but you mustn't forget it. You become responsible forever for...
In my opinion, there aren’t many better things that you can do on a hot Sunday afternoon in the city than taking a long walk in a beautiful neighbourhood. In this case, Cotroceni. After starting to read Între zi și noapte again (I first read it when I was in highscool), I realized that I must have been fascinated with this part of Bucharest even before seeing it, due to the descriptions in this book. The Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy provided the perfect backdrop for these photos.
Also, say hello to my new favourite dress: it’s from Zara and i got it on sale; it was the only one left and it was in my size: definitely a sign it had to be mine. It’s definitely my new summer wardrobe staple. The ha, on the other hand, proved to be a head-turner (or giggle-provoking). Anyway I don’t mind.. I like to make people smile, especially if I look like I’m auditioning for a role in “Little Women“. Sunday-fun day! By the way, what are your favourite Sunday activities when you’re stuck in the city?
I’m wearing: Zara gingham print dress with a cutout back, H&M straw hat, vintage bag, American Apparel jelly flats
Listening to: Lovin’Spoonful – Summer in the city / (re)Reading: Henriette Yvonne Stahl- Între zi și noapte
You look lovely! The dress is a cutie and the backdrop is perfect for it. And what about the hat..? I think it’s just right for summer!
Other people seem to disagree with you regarding the hat :)). Why do hats confuse people? We need a fancy headwear revival :))
Hugs & thanks ^_^
Yes, that book is haunting and so beautiful! I must re-read it myself : )
The background you chose is indeed gorgeous and well, the dress suits you perfectly!
I wanted to re-read it for a looong time, but I couldn’t seem to find my book anymore.
So I searched every antique book shop for another one, until I finally found it online, recently.
Thank you so much! Hugs!
This shoot made me feel a little bit nostalgic, it’s like a step back in time and one of those that make you long for something you don’t quite recognize. How I wish to go back in time, even for a day, to breath it all in, just as it was ^_^
Gorgeous outfit, you look beyond lovely and that backdrop is perfection!
Hugs,
xx
That is exactly how I felt! I’m glad I was able to translate my feelings into these images.
Hugsss!
Now this is, in my opinion, what “the perfect outfit” looks like! I adore the dress! I’ve tried it on a couple of weeks ago, it was on sale, in what I ‘d hoped would me my size, but it did’t fit properly, so I could’t take it home with me…I was so glad to see you bought it! It looks amazing on you, and that hat is a beauty!
Gorgeous!
Hugs,
Mamalina
