S. vs E., first edition

*drumroll* In 2011 we decided to include a new category on our blog, called “Versus”. It all began with the fact that both me and Eve have purchased a mini crushed velvet dress in dark blue. Hers is from Forever21 and mine’s thrifted. So it occurred to me.. why don’t we do a little styling “competition” and show you how we’d each style the dress. And hopefully , if you darlings like it as well, we’ll make this a permanent category and periodically choose a clothing item to style differently. So here it is:

This time it’s a cliche classic: soft and feminine versus tough and edgy.

And last but not least, I have to say that even if we’re only 4 days into 2011, I can say this year is going to be great. These days mainly due to the lovely fellow bloggers who were so kind as to feature us. A big thank you and hugs to Anna from Something like Anna, who featured us in the Blogger style section and to Costin, who mentioned us in the “11 Bloggers to follow in 2011″ post. Thank you very much, again, for your kind words. Oh and I’m also featured on the first page on Trendtation. , as Look of the Day.
Anyway, we would love to know how would you style the mini velvet dress or which style is the closest to yours .

    I think this is a great idea. You both look beautiful and the outfits are both super cool. From a personal place I would choose (but only if my life depended on it as I love both of you girls:))) Sandra’s outfit – it’s more of my style right now.

    I think this new category is a great idea, can’t wait to see more posts like this one.
    Of course, I can’t possibly pick a winner because even though your different, you both have amazing styles.

    UUUU, this is so lovely! I love the velvet dress, and I must say it’s an interesting idea! I have to say I like both looks, but I guess Eve’s outfit is more close to my style now, although I like to experience everyhting.
