Summer is upon us, with its suffocating warmth and burning sun. This is the season when everything seems to slow down allowing us to start dreaming with eyes wide open of an adventurous getaway. This dream must contain an exotic location, some water ( in the form of a sea, lake or ocean – trying to be quite flexible about this), mainly secluded, but with all facilities included.
Although I’ve never been a big fan of sunbathing and tanning, I would never miss the chance of an encounter with the beach. Of course, I would come well equipped, wearing my 50 SPF lotion, a kimono, a big pair of sunglasses and the mandatory parasol. I guess I am a mermaid at heart, because the sound of waves is the perfect melody to calm me down anytime. There is something so serene and peaceful about the endless blue of water that always makes me think of the summer holidays.
