The Swinging Sixties

The Swinging Sixties

In April 1966, Time magazine focused on London, the Swinging City, as a tribute to its transformation from the gloomy post WW II city to the capital of style and youth culture. Music, fashion and design flourished, as London attracted numerous creative types. One of the most well-known icons of the fashion industry was model Jean Shrimpton, known as “The Face of the ’60s” and the symbol of Swinging London. This post is dedicated to her and the Swinging Sixties. Oh, and if you’re looking for more 60’s inspiration, I recommend watching “We’ll take Manhattan”, following the relationship between Jean Shrimpton and photographer David Bailey. I’m sure you’re going to love it as much as I did biiiig  for Karen Gillan and Aneurin Barnard).
