London Fashion Week: Hellen van Rees SS 2014 Presentation
It’s a New Year and although winter is yet to come, we must prepare ourselves for the new season and embrace some dreamy new styles.
You are our very own special guest with front row seats to the latest London Fashion Week SS 2014 fashion shows straight from the runways. The first stop is the innovative Hellen Van Rees.
“Classic Chanel tweeds continue to be my inspiration when designing, but this season I wanted to make the collection more feminine yet still modern, so I have mixed classic textures with contemporary cuts and prints.” *
The 15-piece collection, entitled Fuzzlayerglossbox, that included her signature hand-woven tweeds was showcased as an intimate gathering allowing the public to see up close the stunning details.
The main inspiration behind this particular collection was taken from the US drama, The Boardwalk Empire, therefore featuring a number of 1920’s inspired silhouettes
With fans such as Lady Gaga and the Noisettes sporting her designs, Hellen van Rees is a designer to watch.
