A jump in time
A few weeks ago I went to a place in Romania I had never been to before – Baile Govora. It wasn’t exactly my first choice of place to visit, but we found a cute villa with a pool (pretty last-minute) so we decided to take the plunge and see a new place. Well, all I can say is that I saw why it used to be one of the most popular summer resorts in Romania. There are some pretty amazing buildings there – some of them have been restored, while others, like the ones in the photos, are in dire need of renovation, as now they only show a small glimpse of their former glory. However, there is definitely potential there and it would be amazing to have the beauty of this resort renewed.
