Ode to October

I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers

The quote above, from Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, is one of my favourite quotes ever, as I believe the October is one of the most beautiful months of the year (if not THE BEST). It might sound like a cliche, but I can’t help myself. I feel like the temperature is just perfect: not too hot, not too cold (although it can be quite fluctuating), so you can wear layers; you’ve gotten used to the idea that summer’s gone, however winter is not yet a threatening presence; and the best part is that explosion of colors that takes over everything, usually peaking during the third week of October. Not to mention Halloween! I could go on and on about the coziness, the pumpkins, the candy (Don’t you think sweets taste better in October?), the walks in the park, the apples and grapes and the walnuts and did I mention the colors, oh, the colors?
