The Season of the Rose
It's the time that you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important… People have forgotten this truth, but you mustn't forget it. You become responsible forever for...
I envisioned this post way back in winter, I think, when I first laid my eyes upon this pretty H&M sailor dress. I knew just then that I had to have it and wear it with straw hat, in a beautiful beach landscape. You’d might think “Well, nothing complicated about that. You just need to buy the dress and wait until spring”. However, things aren’t always that straightforward and the process of acquiring the dress was actually a little online shopping adventure. As I mentioned, I’d seen the dress around wintertime, in a preview of H&M’s spring collection. I know I had to wait a while until it became available, but I started to check the website so I’d know when to go to the shop to get it (the Romanian version of the online shop hadn’t launched yet). So the moment I saw it online, I went looking for it, but unfortunately found no trace of the dress. When the online shop launched, I was happy to see it was available and I immediately added it to my cart. But I hesitated: I wasn’t sure what size to get, I said I’ll wait a little to see what else I’d like to purchase etc. And guess what? After a couple of days, when I had actually decided to place the order, both sizes were gone from my cart, gone from the website… GONE! Le sigh. I immediately regretted my incapacity of making such a simple decision. I said to myself: this is it… me and the pretty dress were never meant to be (dramatic, I know).
Fortunately, the story didn’t end there. I didn’t give up hope. I checked the online shop daily for 2 weeks until it finally came back in stock in the size I needed. Hallelujah! I couldn’t believe my eyes. I ordered it without giving it a second thought and it arrived just in time for my (unplanned!) trip to Greece. The stars aligned and the dream came true. Here we are, me and my sailor dress, on a breathtaking beach on Thassos island, basking in the soft light of morning, not a soul around to disturb us.
The morale of this superficial little story is, obviously, that your dreams will come true if you never give up hope. HA! Mic drop.
If you prefer reading about the deeper meaning of things, I invite you to check the blog next Friday, as I have prepared a review for you (hint: see the photo above).
P.S: We’ll announce the Beatrix Color giveaway winner tomorrow, so stay tuned!
